Highpoint Shopping Centre
NW L3 Entry Works

Work area: 190m2

Project value: $360k

Project commencement: February 2022

Project completion: May 2022

Reconstruction of the north-west Level 3 entrance was undertaken to meet current DDA and safety requirements to create a contemporary entrance area in line with newer sections of the shopping centre.

The project involved the removal of existing bollard infrastructure and the installation of a combination of hard and soft landscaping throughout the area. The installation of fixed infrastructure is proposed across the bulk of the area (planters, boulders and vegetation), with a number of bollards to remain in order to facilitate ongoing functionality and access to the centre.

The scope of civil and landscape works includes:

  • Demolition of existing entry site conditions, working on suspended slabs with restrictive load ratings

  • Laying new bluestone and granite pavers with flowing banding

  • Construction of coloured concrete planter beds and large format rocks

  • Installation of new tactiles and bollards at front entry

  • Various planting of new vegetation within planter beds

  • New pedestrian crossing complete with new line marking

  • New expansion joint to replace existing
