The Greater Metropolitan Cemetery Trust (GMCT) is a custodian of 21 cemeteries. The sites are located within three the north, east and west regions of metropolitan Melbourne. GMCT manages approximately 40 annual projects across these regions and has an annual budget between $30 million to $50 million.

Lilydale Memorial Park was earmarked for renewal of multiple road sections, including kerb and channel, drainage and associated civil and landscape works associated with the civil design in line with the project’s proposed masterplan.

The works were completed in a live environment, maintaining daily operations of a bustling and operational cemetery with respect to the privacy and sensitivity of visitors and funeral attendees.
